THE HISTORY OF PERFUME
The Patiala Necklace, commissioned in 1928 by the Maharaja of Patiala, Sir Bhupinder Singh, was one of the world’s most extraordinary creations, comprising 2,930 diamonds and the famous “De Beers”, the seventh largest diamond in the world. Featuring Burmese rubies and diamonds of various sizes, the necklace symbolised unparalleled luxury. Worn with pride until the Maharaja’s death in 1938, it mysteriously disappeared in the late 1940s, leaving behind a legendary brilliance that continues to be remembered.
THE FRAGRANCE
Patiala opens with a brilliant combination of fresh citrus and the sweetness of aldehyde. The heart of the fragrance is enriched with floral notes of orange blossom and wild rose, while the base is wrapped in warm notes of amber, musk and sensual musk. An exclusive and refined perfume, made in only 100 pieces, enclosed in a crystal decanter and presented in a lacquered box.
