Verdigris – eau de parfum

VERDIGRIS is the color of the patina that covers copper surfaces. Its noble green, interspersed with patches of grey, recalls the salt carried by the ocean wind onto the roofs of Mediterranean houses. Here the classic citrus freshness was only given a third place role: where the proud Italian lemons and oranges are usually the center of attention, here they are only a discreet background. VERDIGRIS deconstructs the classic chypre and brilliantly reassembles its traditional elements. The silky bouquet of flowers - freesia, rose and reseda - is studded with spicy notes of nutmeg and coriander. In the background, the wet, glittering calone is transparent, almost white. Not sweet, but appetizing. Expressive, if not overtly woody. Ethereal, yet resonant. VERDIGRIS, salt frozen like snow.

INSPIRATION / PERFUMER

Is a sea without blue possible? VERDIGRIS interprets the notion of seawater on a completely new level, moving the concept towards the land. Here the sea is born from the intersection of sky, air and sun.
